At Tall Oak, Mr. Evans leads a commercial and business development team that has built strong relationships with oil and gas producers throughout the Mid-Continent. He has worked to secure long-term dedications from multiple producers, anchoring the build-out of Tall Oak’s natural gas gathering and processing systems in Oklahoma. Mr. Evans also oversaw the execution of Tall Oak’s crude oil service agreements, which have allowed the company to expand its service offerings by supporting the construction of a new crude oil gathering, storage and transportation system designed to serve producers operating in Oklahoma’s STACK play.
Prior to helping lead the formation of Tall Oak in early 2014, Mr. Evans served as manager of gas sales for Chesapeake Energy where his responsibilities were focused on commercial and business development, gas scheduling and contract administration. Mr. Evans led teams to develop a strategy and execute on natural gas gathering, processing and transportation; and NGL transportation and fractionation projects with a primary focus on greenfield build-outs for production areas including the Barnett, Haynesville, Midcontinent, Marcellus and Utica Shale.
Mr. Evans has held various positions with Chesapeake Energy Marketing, including manager of the commercial gas business unit to gas scheduling. He successfully led a commercial team that managed the execution of various midstream projects providing the construction of assets to achieve incremental production growth of more than 3 billion cubic feet per day in less than five years.
Mr. Evans holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Central Oklahoma. He serves on the board and as treasurer of the Natural Gas & Energy Association of Oklahoma and is a member of the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association. Carlos and his wife, Kristi, have three children and live in Edmond, Oklahoma.
